Alan will be lovingly remembered for his quirky, vivacious personality, vast intelligence, love of KAXE's Green Cheese Trivia, cooking, gardening, his enormous music collection and most of all the love he had for everyone around him.

Alan devoted his life working with pediatrics. He dedicated his life to serving others.

Although Alan lived in Colorado for the past thirty years, every vacation was spent coming home to Northern Minnesota to cook and love on his family. To summarize someone like Alan in such a short paragraph really cannot be done. He was loved by all and brought life into every room he went into. A word that comes to mind is extraordinary.

Alan was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Doris Dahline. He was survived by his father, Harvey Dahline; his three brothers, Ronny (Ms. Skip Simpson), Robin (Cathe), and Thomas (Candice); and his sister Beth Sweeney (Jim). Alan had nine nieces and nephews, whom he adored and took pride in all of their accolades and interests. Alan had many, many friends and other relatives that will miss him dearly.

Alan's celebration of a life well lived was held at the KAXE Riverfront Venue in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
