    Al married Edna S. Harris on March 3, 1952 in Duluth, Minnesota and they lived in Schroeder until moving to the Grand Rapids area in 1954. He worked 29 years for Hawkinson Construction in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

    He is survived by his wife, Edna; sons, Roger and Ernest; two sisters, Esther Linge and Clara Rosendahl; three brothers, Charles, Cecil, and Ernest; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Preceding him in death were his parents, Peter and Julia Happy; three sisters, Cecelia Weyard, Ruth Parent, and Angie Buck; a brother, Edward, and two great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Julie Happy.

    Military honors were provided by Ponti-Peterson Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars McVeigh-Dunn Post, and American Legion.

    Buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 3.15.3.6)
