    Albert Heikkila lived in several places in Minnesota during his lifetime, including rural Marble, Laporte, South Range, Coleraine and Grand Rapids. He married Mildred Smith in 1953 in Minnesota and then Betty Palmer in 1991 in Minnesota. He was a former member and Elder of the Grace Lutheran Church of Marble and a member of the Lawron Presbyterian Church. He had worked for the Oliver Mining Company and was a lab technician for U.S. Steel for 30 years.

    Albert died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 152). He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Mick Gurling) Heikkila, John Heikkila, Lori Heikkila, Lynn (Bill) Ahern, Lois (Mark) Julin, and Randall (Lori) Heikkila; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Arnold (Betty) Heikkila; and a sister, Lorraine Giles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arne J. and Saimi Heikkila; his first wife, Mildred in 1990; and his second wife, Betty in 2001.
