    Albert was a long time employee of the Tioga Iron Ore Mine. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Minnesota, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1720, Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and a former member of the First Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

    Preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia in 1992, a brother Arthur, and a sister Esther Uecker; he is survived by two sons, Gerald Cook and H. Dale Cook; two daughters, Connie Matthew and Donna Barse; two sisters, Minnie Uecker and Mabel Mistelske; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
