Alice grew up and attended school in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Alice and William "Bill" Bishop were united in marriage on June 10, 1948, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Alice worked for three generations of the Huntley family at the Abstract Company. She enjoyed Tuesday morning family coffee, her Friday hair appointments, and Friday evening family dinners. Alice loved her flower garden, to cook family meals, to do crossword puzzles, and enjoyed many family music gatherings. Bill and Alice loved to go dancing and were members of the Pokegama Dance Club. She was a longtime participant in neighborhood coffee and card clubs. She was also a member of the VFW and longtime active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bill; sons, Roger and an infant son; brothers Henry, Eddie, Charlie, Roy, Lawrence, Robert and Roland; sisters Lillian and Doris; and daughter-in-law, Peggy.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Ernie)Thomas and Jerelyn (Mike) Rieger; son, David; brother Lloyd; sisters-in-law Eunice and Norma; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
