After serving four years in the Army, Allan Clark got his master’s degree in music at the University of Southern California. He was band instructor at Greenway High School and Itasca Junior College in Coleraine, Minnesota until 1962 when he moved his family to San Marcos, California where he continued to teach music at Earl Warren Junior High School.
Allan Clark died in Escondido, California and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Minnesota (plot I-A-37-28). He is survived by his wife, Dolores (Hawkinson) Clark; sister, Geri Hocking; sons, Allan and Bill; daughters, Karen Fletcher, Carol Schwartz, and Peggy Morton; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
