    Allan was raised in Roseau, Minnesota where he lived until 1986.

    Allan married Carol on September 16, 1967.

    He was employed with FDIC as a Bank Examiner until he retired in 1999.

    In 1999, he and his wife, Carol, moved to Buck Lake. He loved his lake home; he enjoyed making home improvements, working in the yard, his tools, hunting, and fishing.

    Allan was a member of the Nashwauk Lutheran Church, Nashwauk, Minnesota; a former member of the Roseau Lions Club and the American Legion in Roseau, Minnesota.

    Allan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymond.

    He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Carson (Joanna Freeberg); daughter, Bonnie (Matthew) Saxe; brother, Bernie (Wanda); two sisters, Joanne (Franklin) Rykken and Lenay (Gary) Knepper, one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Allan died at the University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing, Minnesota and is buried in Palmville Cemetery at Wannaska, Minnesota.
