Bud married Maryann Austin on May 1, 1946 in Warba, Minnesota.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lawrence; and sisters, Margaret Rucks, Jean Grinde, and Delores Broking.
Bud is survived by his wife, Maryann; children, Leona (David) Bernard, Laura LaFrance; Andrea Felix, Clarence Felix; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Bud passed away in Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and inurnment was in the Warba-Feeley Cemetery at Warba, Minnesota.
