Anton came to Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1913 with his family and lived in the Wendigo area.
He was employed by Chicago/Milwaukee Railroad and retired in 1960.
Anton married Lilly A. Cloutier at Grand Rapids, Minnesota on December 5, 1936.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge Minnehaha Lodge 165 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Scotish Rite in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Zurah Temple in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Ponti Peterson VFW Post 1720 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Lilly; a son, Anton S. Metzenhuber, Jr.; a grandson; and two nephews.
Anton died at Itasca Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 2.38.2.6)
