    Archie married Rose Laager in Stevens County on December 21, 1921. They farmed in the Chokio and Alberta, Minnesota areas and later moved to Alberta where he was employed by Cargill Elevators for a number of years.

    The couple moved to Bovey, Minnesota in 1953 and for a short time he worked in the mines. Later he served as police chief of Bovey and in 1961, they moved to Pequot Lakes, Minnesota where they lived until returning to Alberta.

    Surviving him are his wife, Rose; two sons, Ray and Robert; two daughters, Mrs. Orland (Ardis) Nystuen and Mrs. Merle (Ielene) Mathison; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Flannigan; and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Kuehn, Mrs. Mary Estes, and Mrs. John (Lucy) Eddy.

    Archie died at the Stevens County Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness and is buried in Summit Cemetery at Morris, Minnesota.
