    He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, the American Association of Retired Persons and was active in planning the 1937 class reunions.

    Surviving relatives include his wife, Cheslyn; daughters Catharine Stead, Nancy Richie, and Teri Trenbert; sister Shirley Hodgson; and six grandchildren.

    Art died in Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-C-16-1-0)
