    Ben was a Warba, Minnesota resident who was serving with the United States Army 9th Artillery Regiment at Geisson, Germany.

    Ben died as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Geisson, Germany of July 2, 1972. He had lived in this area for all his life except for time spent in the service.

    Surviving relatives include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Toivo Siermala; four sisters, Bonnie, Louise, Dianne and Geraldine; a brother, John; his grandmothers, Mrs. Violet Johnson and Mrs. Emil Siermala; four uncles and seven aunts.

    Buried in Cedar Valley Cemetery at Meadowlands, Minnesota.
