Ben Dunstan married Genevieve Lawson in 1937 in Minneapolis, MN. He had been a physics and chemistry teacher at Sandstone, Red Wing, and Austin prior to teaching at Greenway High School, Coleraine, Minnesota from 1953 until his retirement in 1973. He was a member of the Grand Rapids Masonic Lodge 208, the Duluth Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Minnesota Retired Teachers Association.
Ben died in Quincy, Illinois and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 29). He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; a son, Tom Dunstan; a sister, Thyra Hanson; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two infant sons; his parents; and a brother George “Muzzy” Dunstan.
