Benny Legueri married Winnifred Mester in 1947 in Minnesota. He had lived in the Coleraine, Minnesota area since 1947 and was a test board operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone for 33 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Coleraine; the American Legion; and Telephone Pioneers of America Association.
Benny died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, Minnesota (Block 64). He is survived by his wife, Winifred; a son, Thomas; two daughters, Catherine (Rodney) Holen and Mary (Gary) Schoenrock; two sisters, Carmen (Rey) Lakso and Elizabeth (John) Sweeney; three brothers, Angelo, Louis, and George; his father, Fred; and four grandchildren.
