Bud was a native of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

He was a retired fire chief at Redstone Arsenal and was a member of the St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Jo; one daughter, Margie; two sons, Mike and Mark; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Bud died in Lincoln Skilled Care Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
