    On May 6, 1968, Carl was united in marriage to Claudia Ward in Britton, South Dakota.

    He was employed for thirty-five years in the mining industry working for Hanna Mining, National Steel, and United States Steel as a maintenance mechanic. Carl retired in 2002.

    He enjoyed working on small engines, hunting, fishing, and camping.

    Carl was a member of the American Legion Post 476 of Lawrence Lake, Bovey, Minnesota.

    Carl is preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters; and one great-granddaughter, Cerene Beier.

    He is survived by his wife, Claudia; one daughter, Judy (Troy) Beier; two sons, Robert (Kristi) Ward and Parrish (Sarah) Wohlsdorf; special friend, Cheryl Oleheiser; five brothers, Reinard (Mary Lou) Wohlsdorf, Jr., Earl (Juleen) Wohlsdorf, Richard (Inga) Wohlsdorf, Kenneth Wohlsdorf, and Paul (Robbin) Wohlsdorf; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Carl died at his home and is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 3.)
