Carl Manginen was a life-long resident of Trout Lake Township where he served as a Township Supervisor for three years. He married Betty (Washburn) Jordan in 1975 in Minnesota. He was employed by Charmaster Products and retired from there in 2009. He organized the Trout Lake Township Baseball team and served on the committee to build the Trout Lake Community Center. He was a 60-year member of the Grand Rapids American Legion Post #60.
Carl died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Trout Lake Community Cemetery, Bovey, Minnesota (Block 5, Lot 18). He is survived by his wife, Betty; four step-children, Greg (Vickie) Jordan, Linda Schumacher, Diane Jordan, and Tom (Brenda) Jordan; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mona Manginen; two step-children, Dale Jordan and Susan Jordan; seven sisters and one brother.
