Carl came to Grand Rapids, Minnesota with his family in 1923.
Carl retired in 1976 after more than 40 years of employment with Blandin Paper Company in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He was a member of the Blandin Quarter Century Club.
Survivors are his wife, Myrtle; daughter, Agnes Sewall; sons, Jerome and Tom; brothers, Kenneth and Larry; sisters, Irene Hyrkas, Ruth Jones, Doris Lanham, Agnes McCoy, and Edythe Martin; and four grandchildren.
