Carmen was a proud Marine WAC and was stationed at Cherry Point, North Carolina during World War II.

Carmen was employed by Pacific State Hospital in California and later moved to Minnesota and worked at Mickey's Diner in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary where she served as the Eagles president from 1992 - 1993.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Emil and Ollowene Fosmo; a son, Hugh Frizzell; and two brothers, Faye and Irwin.
Carmen is survived by her brother, Stewart (Barbara) Fosmo; sons, Stephen (Irene), Walter (Linda), and Irwin (Connie); daughters, Maureen Frizzell, Mariann Varin and Candice Monroe; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen grandchildren.
Carmen died at Grand Village in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-F-41-02)
