    Carroll owned and operated Hart's Do-All, a maintenance and construction company in Hibbing, Minnesota and was an active wood carver.

    He is survived by his wife, Janie; two sons, Aaron (Donna) and Dustin (Arlinda); a daughter, Josie (Arthur) Wozniak; two brothers, LeRoy Gayhart, Jr. and Robert (Edna) Gayhart; sisters, Helen (Tom) Williams and Barbara Blair; Jan (Howard) Prinz; and six grandchildren.

    Carroll died at his home north of Nashwauk, Minnesota and is buried in Nashwauk Cemetery at Nashwauk, Minnesota.
