Cecil Longmore married Kathleen Major in Grand Rapids, Minnesota in 1957. He worked for Oliver Mining Company for a short time and then owned and operated the Pepsi distributorship in Grand Rapids for several years. He worked as a journeyman electrician for Blandin Paper Company for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Itasca Vintage Car Club, North Woods Opry and was a retired board of directors member of the Blandin Employees Credit Union. He was a retired officer of the Independent Union of Papermill Workers.
Cecil died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Warba-Feeley Cemetery, Warba, Minnesota (Plot B, 6, 1, 8). He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; three daughters, Valorie Mackley, Lynn Murphy, and Shari Holt; two sons, James and Randy; two sisters, Doris Dahline and Lorraine Carter; a brother Ivan Longmore; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
