He was a member of Ponti-Peterson Post 1720 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Retta Foster; one son, Wyman; and two brothers, Wyman and Chester.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; sons, Thomas, James, Brian, and Warren; three daughters, Betsy Mattfield, Vicky Miller, and Cindy Howard; one brother, Lester; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Charles died at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-D-14-2-5)
