    Charles worked as a Construction Superintendent for Davy McKee building schools to large taconite plants in Minnesota and in upper Michigan.

    Charles lived in the Warba, Minnesota area most of his life and had a hobby farm.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy in 2014; parents; daughter, Sharon, great-granddaughter, Megan; brother, Lawrence; sisters, Bernice, Blanche, Hazel, Mildred, Esther, Bertha and Alice.

    Charles is survived by his sons, Douglas (Karen), David (Judy); son-in-law, Andrew Hagen; brother, Glenn (Rose); six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

    Charles passed away in Grand Village in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He is buried in Warba-Feeley Cemetery at Warba, Minnesota.
