Charley married Evelyn McDonald in 1944. They owned and operated a restaurant in Illinois and a resort in Walker, Minnesota. He also worked at Sandy's Super Value in Walker and later at the Red Owl Grocery Store in Deer River, Minnesota, retiring in 1987.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael, in 1982.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a son, Charley; two daughters, Sherri Koch and Michele Galligos; a brother, Fred; two sisters, Mary Bull and Dorothy Galligos; and six grandchildren.
Charley died at Community Memorial Hospital in Deer River, Minnesota. No photo of grave marker is available at this time.
