The DiIorio family moved to Bennett Location in 1936. In Itasca County, Bennett Location is near Keewatin, Minnesota.
Chris was united in marriage to Antoinette "Toni" Iaizzo on October 4, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keewatin, Minnesota and they made their home in Keewatin.
Chris worked as an electrician for 34 years for MA Hanna Mining Company, National Steel, and Butler Taconite.
In his retirement, Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and helping out others. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5516 and American Legion Post 452 of Keewatin, the DAV, Keewatin Senior Citizens, and a Meals on Wheels volunteer. Chris was active at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he served on the parish council and did electrical maintenance. He was an avid bowler and accordion player who also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Chris is survived by his wife of 59 years, Antoinette "Toni"; sons, John and Chris (Steph); daughters, Judy (Patrick) Kruize and Jane (Bruce) Kruger; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Camille Petosa, Dorothy (Jack) Schwab; brothers-in-law Abner (Pasqueline) Johnston and Clyde (Sue) Hamilton; and sister-in-law, Irene Iaizzo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Melissa DiIorio; and a sister, Christine DiBiasi.
Chris died at his home and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery at Hibbing, Minnesota. (MAPLEHILL-6-225-2 e1/2) No photo of grave marker is available at this time.
