Clarence was a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
He married Arda M. Byram on May 2, 1942, in Sisseton, South Dakota. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post, both in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Arda; daughter, Leah Peterson; brother Theodore "Ted" Betts; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
