In April, 1932, Clarence began working for William Collins and Sons Construction Company of Fargo, North Dakota.
After his discharge, Clarence worked for the Collins Construction Company. He retired in 1974 as a superintendent after forty years of employment.
Clarence made his home in Thief River Falls, Minnesota during the time he worked for Collins Construction. In 1977, he moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Clarence was a member of the VFW and Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Norma Grambo, Mildred Fjelstul, and Mrs. Gladys McKinley; and three brothers, Olaf, Ted, and Elester. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at the Green Funeral Chapel in Thief River Falls, Minnesota and interment was in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery at New Solum Township, Marshall County, Minnesota
