    Clarence moved with his family to Hibbing, Minnesota.

    Following his discharge from the Navy, he met Gladys Maki and they were married on October 23, 1954 at the Finnish Lutheran Church in Hibbing, Minnesota.

    Clarence attended Dunwoody Institute for air conditioning and refrigeration training for two years. He was employed in the refrigeration field for years and went on to teach at Red Wing Technical College and Dunwoody Institute for air conditioning and refrigeration until retiring in 1980.

    After retirement, he moved to Deer River, Minnesota where he has resided since. He was a member of several air conditioning refrigeration associations and the VFW 2720 in Deer River, Minnesota.

    Clarence is preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Paulson; infant sons, David and Dale; father, Walter Davis; mother, Leona McDowell and Malcolm McDowell; and one granddaughter, Angela Davis.

    He is survived by his wife, Gladys; three daughters, Loree Davis, Doreen Davis, and Cathy Hoopman; one son, Glenn; one sister, Betty Brletich; one brother, Leonard McDowell; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Clarence is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery at Hibbing, Minnesota. No photo of grave marker is available at this time.
