    Following school, Dale enlisted into the United States Navy in San Diego, California. He was a Gunners Mate on the USS Weeden.

    Dale grew up in Morristown, South Dakota.

    Dale met his further wife, Peggy, in Long Beach, California. They were united in marriage on May 22, 1954 in Bovey, Minnesota.

    Then they made their home in Miles City, Montana. They later moved to Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He was the owner and operator of Dale's Auto Service. Dale was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed coaching women's softball, watching sports and spending time with family and his grandchildren.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, and eight sisters.

    Dale is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy; sons, Mike and Rob; brothers, Joseph and Alan; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

    Dale passed away at Grand Village in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot I-G-18-20)
