Dale served his country in the Navy from 1966 to 1969. He was a medic in Vietnam with the 3rd Marine Division at Khe Sanh and Hue after training in San Diego, California.

Dale was raised in the Monroe, Iowa area and lived in Hatfield, Arkansas prior to moving to Minnesota in 1985.
He was employed by the Duluth Clinic in Deer River, Minnesota and Remer, Minnesota since 1988 and served on the Deer River Ambulance Service since 1994.
Dale served as a Trustee at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Deer River, Minnesota.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Darrell.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Benham) Faidley; stepdaughter, Danielle; mother, Ruth Faidley; son, Matt; daughter, Kelly Kinney; sisters, Phyllis Faidley, Linda Beem, and Shirley Smith; and a brother, Ronnie.
Dale is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Deer River, Minnesota.
