After graduation from Brown University, Daniel worked in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and St. Paul, Minnesota.
He had lived on the Gulf Coast since 1937.
Following World War II, Daniel became a lawyer, handling maritime business for some years, later becoming a public defender. Earlier he was a shipbuilding supervisor and engineering consultant for various Gulf and East Coast companies.
A brother, Carl, and a cousin, Carol Stanton Marriott, survive.
Daniel died in Pascgoula, Mississippi and interment took place there.
