Daniel Dukich married Violet Katalinich in Chisholm, Minnesota in 1944. He was a mechanic for J&L Mining for 31 years, retiring in 1973. He loved flying and had earned his pilot's license.
Dan died in Hibbing, Minnesota as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine, MN (Serbian section). He is survived by his wife, Violet; son, Tom (Carolyn Schmitz) Dukich; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Marie Dukich; two sisters, Pearl Dubovich and Mildred Bastian; and three brothers, Nick, Eli and Peter.
