Daniel lived in the Quad Cities area, Woodbridge, Virginia for twenty years, Tacoma, Washington, and Eldridge, Iowa prior to moving to Bovey, Minnesota in 1994.
Dan worked in design and logistics for the United States Defense Department, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church of Bovey, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1061 of Bovey, having served as governor and treasurer. Dan had been a member of the NRA, the VFW, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing pool.
His parents, Alvin and Bertha Wagner and two brothers, Delbert and Edward, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Tom (Angie) Wagner and Debbie (Jeff) Lee; one grandson; four step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Betty Wagner; two nieces; and one nephew.
Daniel died in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota and is buried in Lakeview Cemetery at Coleraine, Minnesota. (New Military Section)
