Darrow was the retired owner of Gibbs Wild Rice in Deer River, Minnesota.
He was a member of the Catholic Church and VFW Post in Minnesota.
Darrow was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Barbara; two sisters, LaDonna Korpela and Ramona Donnell; and three brothers, William, Stanley, and Stafford.
He is survived by wife, Joyce Gibbs; daughters, Julie Fischer and Cheryl Erickson; son, David; stepdaughters, Tracy Vignola and Julie Pihlaja; a stepson, Keith Pihlaja; brothers, Gordon and Delano; and six grandchildren.
Darrow died at his daughter's residence in Live Oak, California. Inurnment was in Squaw Lake Cemetery at Squaw Lake, Minnesota.
