The Erickson family returned to Cohasset, Minnesota after David's father retired from the Air Force.

After high school, David joined the Army and married Sheri Erickson.

He returned to the Cohasset/Deer River area, working a few different jobs including John Deere. He was a loyal and devoted employee at Herc-U-Lift from 1987 to 2016.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Erickson, mother-in-law, Darline Thompson, brother-in-laws Dennis Stanley and Rick Thompson; and nephew, Elijah Barsness.

He is survived by his wife, Sheri; son, Corey (Keri) Erickson; daughter Alice (Steve Dohm) Erickson; eight grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Dolentz, Iris Senogles, Carol (Tim) Barsness, Deb (Larry) Barsness, Diane (Jeff) Randall; and many nieces and nephews.
