    David Meyer was a lifelong resident of Nashwauk, Minnesota. He was a master carpenter whose training started in the Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football and gardening. He was a member of the Itasca County Sheriff's Posse, the Nashwauk American Legion, the N.R.A., AARP, the Rocky Mountain Elk's Association, the North American Hunting and Fishing Clubs, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union #0606. He started ACE Construction of Nashwauk with Charlie & Ellen Anderson.

    David died at home in Nashwauk, Minnesota, following a short but courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his two sons, David John (Tina) Meyer and Christopher Meyer; his sister Margaret (Terry) Schloesser; his brother Clarence Meyer; his partners and best friends, Charlie & Ellen Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Christine Meyer; and his brother, John Meyer.
