Delano was a lifelong Nashwauk, Minnesota resident.

He was a mechanic at Butler Brothers and Hanna Mining Company, retiring after working for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Deborah (George) Morell, Roxane (Drew) Winegar, Timothy (Marcia), and Robert (Tammie); eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ralph and Richard Gangl, and Rose Clifton.

Delano died at his home and is buried in Nashwauk Cemetery at Nashwauk, Minnesota.
