Deming was raised and schooled in Swatara, Minnesota.
He married Norma M. Blackwood on November 16, 1962 in Bovey, Minnesota.
Retiring in 1971, he had worked for Blandin Paper Company for 26 years.
Deming was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Surviving are his wife, Norma; daughters, Cheryl Tuttle, Sharon Eide, and Carolyn Schumaker; sons, Dean, and Charles; a stepson, Charles Blackwood; sisters, June Slyter and Lulu Sampson; ten grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Deming died at his home and is buried in Harris Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot 2.30.1.8)
