Army Private Dennis A. Gustafson, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert S. Gustafson, Route 2, Grand Rapids, Minnesota, recently completed eight weeks of basic training at the United States Army Training Center, Armor, at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
He received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, combat tactics, military courtesy, military justice, first aid and Army history and traditions.
Private Gustafson received training with Company C, 18th Battalion of the 5th Brigade.
Dennis served four years in the United States Army.

Dennis was employed by Home Depot and also owned and operated a ceramic shop in Owatonna, Minnesota and a flower shop in Tifton, Georgia.
