    Dennis was the last graduating class of Boy River High School in 1961.

    Dennis married Janet Chandler in 1967. They moved to Alaska in the spring of 1968.

    Dennis worked for EarthMovers as a Teamster. He spent a brief time working on the Yukon Bridge. He was able to hunt all three mountain ranges while in Alaska. Dennis had many great hunting adventures in Alaska, bagging a trophy Dall Sheep, many moose and many, many more hunting stories to go along with it.

    They moved back to Deer River in 1974 and built a home. Dennis had three children and was divorced in 1991.

    In his younger years, Dennis spent much of his time teaching his children how to hunt, fish, and trap. Dennis worked for the Corps of Engineers at Winnie Dam until he retired.

    Dennis spent his retirement years with Linda J. Jones on Thunder Lake. They enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, shopping garage sales and traveling together.

    Dennis was a member of the American Legion.

    Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Virgel Dickson and his brother, Darryl Dickson.

    He is survived by his mother, Lorraine Dickson; children, Scott Dickson, Dean Dickson and Ann Marie Ritter; six grandchildren; and his significant other, Linda J. Jones.

    Dennis died at home and is buried in Zion Island Lutheran Cemetery in Boy River, Minnesota.
