Don Merhar married Agnes Nash in Minnesota in 1947. He was a design engineer for Honeywell for 37 years. He enjoyed camping, golf, fishing, and hunting.
Don died in Shorewood, Minnesota and is buried in Nashwauk Cemetery, Nashwauk, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife, Agnes; sons, Donald (Debbie) Merhar and Steven Merhar; daughters, Marlene (Tedd) Hefty and Tamre (Mike) O’Brion; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, John (Olanda) Merhar, Edward (Gladys) Merhar, and Rudy Merhar; sisters, Sylvia Kranta and Angeline (Orville) Martin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
