    Clarence served in the United States Army Medical Corp as captain from 1953 to 1955.

    Dr. Ferrell began practice in Grand Rapids, Minnesota in June, 1945 which continued until February, 1970 when he became a staff member and medical director of the Moose Lake State Hospital, a position he held until July, 1973. He then joined the staff at the Sandstone Federal Correctional Institution as chief health officer, a post he held until December, 1976 when he returned to the Moose Lake institution in January, 1977 as staff physician. He remained there in that capacity until his death.

    He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; a son, Major Richard J. Ferrell; a sister, Merle Thornton; a brother, Ray; and two grandchildren.

    Dr. Ferrell died at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota and is buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-C-19-0-4)
