Dwain was the owner/operator of the Myer's Street Barber Shop in Oroville, California for eight years.

He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and belonged to the local American Legion.

Dwain is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cherri; a daughter, Patti Poole; four sisters, Dona Sackett, Shirley Essin, Arlana Gustafson, and Bonnie Hughes; and two grandsons.

Dwain died at his home in Oroville, California and his ashes were scattered at sea by the United States Navy in San Diego, California.
