    Earl Lange married Ruth Finnerud in North Dakota in 1915. The couple came to Itasca County in 1920 and Earl started working in the mines. He moved to Pokegama Lake in 1956. He retired in 1961 from the retail automotive parts sales business in Grand Rapids.

    Earl died in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried in Harris Cemetery, Itasca County, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Paul and Erling (Bud); three daughters, Edith (Glen) Grife, Ruth (Harry) Adamson, and Dorothy (John) Marsh; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
