    Edward Michael married Beverly Abear in Minnesota in 1947. He was an operating foreman for Butler Taconite, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Nashwauk American Legion, the Pengilly Veterans of Foreign Wars; the Nashwauk and Hibbing Masonic Lodges, all Scottish Rite Bodies, the Aad Temple Shrine in Duluth, and the Hibbing Elks Lodge.

    Ed died in Nashwauk, Minnesota and is buried in Nashwauk Cemetery, Nashwauk, Minnesota (West Division II, Block 30). He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Barbara Michael, Brenda Petrich, Rae Lynn Ritter, and Roberta Johnson; a sister, Marie Nash; brothers, Eugene and Richard; eleven grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his sister Delores Kinkel.
