Radioman Edward Lee Berg drowned on a fishing trip to Lake Moultrie, South Carolina. Returning from a fishing trip with several companions, he was drowned when the boat capsized. He was a six-year veteran of the United States Navy.
A military color guard was provided by veterans organizations.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Berg; six sisters, Donna, Patricia, Sandra, Kathleen, Cherie, and Karen; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Noziol.
Buried in Itasca Calvary Cemetery at Grand Rapids, Minnesota. (Plot C-D-07-0-3)
