    Information in the Grand Rapids Herald Review, dated August 31, 1972-With our men in service:
    Ernest L. Dibble, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest L. Dibble, Sr., from Ball Club, Minnesota, enlisted in the Navy on August 16, 1972 for the Navy's 4-year school guarantee program. Ernest is attending basic training at San Diego, California.
    After completion of basic training, Ernest will be assigned to his Class "A" school, to become a machinery repairman.
    Ernest is a graduate of Deer River High School in Deer River, Minnesota and a graduate of Duluth Area Institute of Technology in Duluth, Minnesota. Ernest was enlisted in the pay grade of E-3.

    Ernest was affiliated with the St. Patricks Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend, Pennsylvania.

    He was a member of the American Legion, Kaylor Post 488 of Bradys Bend, Pennsylvania and the VFW in Deer River, Minnesota.

    Ernest was employed by Indspec Chemical Corporation in Petrolia, Pennsylvania as a distillation operator for the past twenty-seven years.

    He married the former Kathryn H. Hindman on October 10, 1998 in East Brady, Pennsylvania and she survives along with four sons, Preston (Mary), Justin, Joshua (Sarah) and Robert Hindman (Rebecca); two daughters, Amy Birckbichler (Kurt) and Colleen Fornelli (Robert); three grandchildren; one brother, David (Jerry); one sister, Linda Boyer (Samuel): and several nieces and nephews.

    Ernest is preceded in death by a brother, Richard in 2006; and two grandchildren, Casey Warburton on January 1, 2000 and Sarah Hindman on September 30, 2005.

    Ernest died at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning, Pennsylvania following an illness and is buried in Bear Creek Cemetery at Petrolia, Pennsylvania.
