    Evelyn went into the United States Army as a nurse at Colorado Springs, Colorado and later was at O'Reilly Medical Center in Kansas.

    Evelyn graduated from nurses training at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a registered nurse.

    She met and married Lloyd Kaiser in February, 1946 while serving at O'Reilly Medical Center in Kansas.

    They came back to Minnesota after the war and lived in Blackduck, Minnesota and then Dora Lake, Minnesota until 1967 when they moved to Deer River, Minnesota.

    Evelyn went to work at the Deer River Hospital and Clinic in 1963 and she retired in 1985.

    Evelyn loved living on the lake, traveling, reading, and casino trips. She loved spending her winters in Arizona.

    Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and husband, Lloyd.

    She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bernard Ferguson; her children, Sharon (Arlie) VanZee, Larry (Melrene) Kaiser, and Kathy (Jeff) Gilbert; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

    Evelyn died in Mesa, Arizona and inurnment is at Evergreen Memorial Park in Tucson, Arizona. (Block 34, Scattering Garden)
