Freeman was raised and attended schools in Sioux City, Iowa.
He came to the Ball Club, Minnesota area in 1950 and married Esther Pittman on May 2, 1964.
For the past eighteen years, he lived at Cohasset, Minnesota.
Freeman was a member of World War I Barracks No. 1356, Deer River, Minnesota and was a charter member of the Deer River VFW Post 2720, Deer River, Minnesota.
Freeman is survived by his wife, Esther; a sister, Mrs. Leone Nickerson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Freeman died at Itasca Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and is buried at Wildwood Cemetery at Cohasset, Minnesota. (Plot p30e34)
