Gale married Carrie Ann Peters on September 2, 1995 in Cohasset, Minnesota.
He lived in Talala, Oklahoma, from 1969 to 1995, when he moved to Nashwauk, Minnesota. In 2000, Gale moved to Rochester, Minnesota.
He was a network technician for Quest Communications and a member of RLDS, American Legion, VFW, National Fishing Association and Military Honor Guard in Oklahoma. He enjoyed cat fishing, computers, and most of all, spending time with family.
Preceding him in death were his father and a grandson.
Gale is survived by his wife, Carrie; children, Gale (Kara) "TJ" Dinsmore, Jr., Dana (James) Lay, Mildred "Missy" Cottrell; mother, Gladys Dinsmore; brother, William (Becky); sisters, Frances Frand, Cherry (Dean) "Beige" Danielson; and five grandchildren.
Gale died at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
